Northumberland is the Northern most County in England, with its rolling hills, stunning views and Hadrians Wall on the door step you will not explore it all in one visit!

Brockalee sits above the village of Bardon Mill, in the West Tynedale area of Northumberland. The A69 runs close to the site and  there are good rail and bus links.

Langley Dam

Over the last 30 years Langley Dam has become one of the North East’s premier fly fishing locations.
Located 15 minutes east of Brockalee in the beautiful Northumbrian hills, it offers great value sport with predominantly rainbow trout and a mix of brown, blue and tiger trout.
They have 5 boats available for hire and ample room for both bank fishing and wading.
The Lodge offers a pleasant room to relax and socialise in before, during or after your days fishing. Refreshments and a small range of snacks are available.
Children can fish for free with a paying adult so they can get some practice in!

FISHING

Hotbank Crags and Housesteads from Vindolanda

Ranked as an 'easy' route, you will get the opportunity to visit the remains of two Roman Forts and walk along one of the best sections of Hadrian's Wall.

Peel Crags and Whinshield Crags from Vindolanda

This 'average' walk explores one of the more dramatic sections of Hadrian's Wall and also includes Vindolanda Roman Fort. This walk can also be undetaken using the Hadrian's Wall bus service AD122 which runs from April through to September.

Muckle Moss - Route 72

Brockalee is just over two miles away from the National Cycle Network's Route 72 - Muckle Moss. The route is described as having panoramic views and unique surface patterning, covered with multi coloured bog mosses, cotton grass and heather, surrounded by heath, woodland and grassland, it is worth a visit all year round.
